The only picture of Piper and me over Easter. Me with no makeup and her practically naked!
Egg dying time! We stripped them down to their panties! They thought it was fun! And, they got to wear special hats too! Briggs was napping at the time!
Mendy snapped some photos for us while we were in Clinton and then again at her parents farm. I happen to have no makeup on in all of them! And, I can see some age spots! Gasp!!!! And, my hair...let's not talk about the sad state of affairs regarding my mop! I'm in the "Am I going to keep growing this out or chop it?" stage. Oh well, it's not about me...we are making memories here! The last picture cracks me up of the 4 of us! If Briggs was looking, it might be a funny Christmas card pic!! I'm so proud of Piper riding on that donkey! Tilley, is her name...I think!

March for Babies
It's that time of year again when I ask you to consider supporting Team Laughlin to benefit the March of Dimes. These are our good friends Renna & Reagan. They were born three months premature and today they are healthy, almost 3 year olds!! The March of Dimes raises money to help fund research for premature babies and the Laughlin family is passionate about giving back to them! This year, I cannot walk but here's the link to the team page if you would like to donate! Their goal is $2500 and so far they've raised $910. The walk is next week!

18 months
18 months has come way too fast for me!
26.7 pounds (50th %tile)
34 inches long (90th-ish %tile)
Briggs is such a little trooper. He has been sick a lot the past few months but he's finally starting to come out of it! His new pediatrician has been excellent about teaching me more regarding his sensitive skin and over reactive immune system! For the first time, I have a doctor who is prescribing a great cream for his eczema instead of just using lotion or hydrocortisone and she has him on allergy meds to help the fluid in his lungs not to get out of control! She's also prepared me for bug bites and sunscreen option for his sensitive skin! I feel prepared and ready! So thankful! Briggs is starting to whine, push boundaries, and beg for his way. Discipline has begun! He's not the best eater these days and I do not know how he has kept his weight on to be honest! He likes to talk and babble a lot! I'm sure you are surprised! He is surrounded by two very talkative girls all day long! Some newer things he's being saying are "Hi Sissy!" (he love his sissy!) "What is That?" "Thank you," "Mo-Mo" for Elmo (More on Elmo below!), "G-O...Gooooo" over and over loudly! (I don't know how he learned this one!), "Nigh-Nigh" and has said a version of "I Love You" only to Aunt Sheryl, Grammy and his cousin Seth...never to his mommy or daddy!! He can also say "hi" "ball" and "bye-bye." And, some of those words only Michael and I know what he is saying but when said it is for sure that! "What is that?" is one example of such phrases! About his Elmo obsession...while he was in the hospital we let him watch Elmo videos on You Tube on my phone. He quickly developed a love for very specific ones. His favorites are the Will.I.Am, Tilly and the Wall, Bruno Mars and India Arie videos. Silly Boy! While in the hospital, if I tried a different video he would start crying and get so upset so I'd replay one of the ones I listed and he'd calm down. Since then, I've been able to show him others without a fit. But, anytime he sees my phone he says, "mo-mo" over and over! He is in 24 month shirts, 18 month pants (his legs are shorter but his torso is long!). He is in a size 6 shoe but almost out of it! Big Foot! He is definitely a mama's boy and my little snuggle bug! He does love his daddy and wants to play with him but he melts for me! I don't mind so much! Briggs loves bath time; has never hated it. I just remember with Piper the bath was a constant struggle. They are both so different in so many ways! He love to dance and shake his booty and will if you say, "Briggs dance!" He will not say "yes" but definitely says "no." For yes, he shakes his bottom up and down; not his head! Ha! I have no clue how that came about! Briggs can show me his nose, eyes, mouth, ears, and tummy. He is 'all boy' through and through! I'm so thankful for this little guy. He has brought so much to our family and we love him so much!!

Fun at the Farm!
I had one of the Top 10 days with my kids on the farm this week! We visited the farm of Jimmy and Debbie Gage who live outside of Okarche on a farm. Jimmy and Debbie are Mendy's parents. Back story...Mendy and I knew each other in high school. She lived in Woodward and graduated one year ahead of me. I really didn't know her well but in college we lived together for 2 years and continue to be friends and since moving here, it has been so much fun getting to spend time with her and the girls, Renna & Reagan. Her parents moved away from Woodward and are retiring on the farm! They have goats, chickens, horses, and donkeys. This was our first time to visit and I definitely want to take the kids back! They only live 30 minutes away from us! The mama goats are having babies right now and we got to hold and love on some of the babies! Not only did Debbie fix us a delicious meal, she escorted us all around the farm! Piper was able to sit on a donkey, gather eggs, and play with the cats; along with run around in the pastures and play with toys in the barn! Briggs seemed to warm up to the animals as well! He petted the goats, donkey, and cats! Both of my kids are getting better about being around animals! Michael drove out there after work because El Reno is so close!
Briggs laying his head right next to the baby goat on my lap.For those of you who think I'm not much of an animal lover...you are right for the most part, but I do have a soft spot for soft fuzzy baby animals!
Isn't this the sweetest...three friends holding hands in a field! Reagan, Piper, Gage
Gage and Piper hit it off! Gage is Mendy's nephew. He and his family also live out on the farm. She is so boy crazy to begin with but she really had fun with him and he had fun with her! She wanted Gage to come to a play date we are having later in the week! Sweet.
Cute, litte Molly. Molly's mommy and daddy-Amber & Brandon came out there too!

More Easter Pics
Briggs showing Aunt Valerie and Grammy his golden egg.
These pictures are from the egg hunt were invited to after church on Sunday. It was outside of town and there were tons of eggs in the yard and in the field. Piper had a blast!! Both kids received so much candy and even some money! Briggs had his own area to hunt in and he didn't even want to throw the eggs in his bucket! The hostess even had refreshments afterwards for us! So sweet!

Happy Birthday Hubby!
This Tax Baby turned 34 yesterday! After the stressful tornado weekend we had it didn't seem as exciting at first but the day ended quite nice because we hired a sitter and had ourselves a mommy/daddy date! Ha! We've been having a lot of daddy/daughter, etc dates but nothing for mommy and daddy lately! We ate some yummy sushi and watched a total guy movie!
I did bake him a yummy cake...yes, those are whoppers all over the cake. It was a pinterest inspired cake but not the actual pinterest recipe! Michael said it was good but I couldn't bring myself to eat it! Too Much Chocolate--for once! Crazy I know!
Saturday night we wanted to have a gourmet type meal because Michael declared it to be his birthweek and because we said it was our 'last meal' if the tornado was going to hit us later that night. It didn't hit us! But, the meal itself was delicious. I am proud to say, I just 'whipped' it up without a recipe!
On Easter weekend, we celebrated at his mom's house with all the family. The picture quality is not fabulous obviously but the kids look cute, nonetheless! Grammy made his favorite cake and served some yummy pizza!
