Christmas 2015

On Christmas Eve, we hung out at the house and decorated cookies for Santa before going to the Christmas Eve at church.
At our church, the kids don't usually go to the big service with us but on Christmas Eve, they get to join us!  Piper loves it!  The candlelight service is always so touching to me.  I fight back tears every year.  But I did have to laugh when I looked back at the picture of Briggs digging in his nose!  Haha!
On Christmas Eve, we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a festive evening!  We opened a few presents.

Then we went home to say goodbye to Glitter, our elf and leave milk and cookies out for Santa!

Emerson decided she wanted to wait up for Santa.  Mommy and Daddy were ready to go to sleep!
Christmas morning was fun and crazy!

It was fun watching Emerson this year because this was her first year to be interactive and find delight in the wrapping paper and toys!

That afternoon, we went back to Grandma & Grandpa's for Christmas dinner.  And to open the rest of the presents.
 Emerson loved her walker!
We had Christmas at Grandma Judy's and Papa Roger's house on New Years Eve.  It was short, but fun and the kids even saw a little snow!

 Emerson loved her ride-on toy!

Christmas Break

In November, we took a few family pictures for our Christmas card!  These are some of them...

I always look forward to Christmas break.  No schedule and having Piper home, along with doing some fun activities and outings.  We were so lucky to have beautiful weather too!
 The annual "gingerbread" making!

 A zoo trip!

 And lots of time outdoors!

December Fun

Last weekend, The Roush Family came for a visit.  It is always crazy when we are all together but always fun!  We took all the kids minus Emerson to see the play Miracle on 34th Street at the Dallas Children's Theater.  It did not disappoint!  And thanks to Kate and Amy, Emerson was well cared for!

Sophia was proud to be holding Emerson!
Piper taught herself how to braid last weekend!  She is a determined kid, but not always motivated!  I'm sure one of her friends just learned how to braid, which gave her a little nudge!
Emerson loves hanging off my shoulder or back when I'm sitting on the floor with her.
 Her little bunny rabbit grin!
I took the kids to Bass Pro for Santa pics.  I could not get her to look at me to take a picture!
Ho, Ho, Ho!  Piper has had lots of fun holiday activities at school.  Her 4th grade gingerbread buddy gave her this hat!
And, I could not resist a pic of these eyes!
