Summer Vacation Part 3

On our fourth day, we set out to take a leisurely hike to a waterfall a staff member mentioned to us; the same one in which we were going to take the night before when it had been raining.  However, we failed to realize that the hike was three miles round trip and did not bring water or snacks.  It was worth the gorgeous view but we had a few upset kiddos!  Oops!  For most of the hike, I had the hymn stuck in my head, "For the Beauty of the Earth" which I think fits perfectly with being in nature in Colorado!
The lyrics are as follows:
For the beauty of the earth,
For the beauty of the skies,
For the love which from our birth,
Over and around us lies.
For the beauty of each hour,
Of the day and of the night,
Hill and vale, and tree and flow'r,
Sun and moon, and stars of light.
Lord of all, to thee we raise,
This our hymn of grateful praise.

Michael and the kids are at the very top of the waterfall! The kids really loved climbing and being "dangerous."
